A Hormel supplier was recently discovered severely abusing the pigs that were born and kept on the farm. The employees of this farm were filmed kicking sows, beating them with metal bars, castrating and cutting of the tails of piglets with no painkillers, shoving rods in their anus's/vagina's, and smashing piglets heads on a concrete floor in an attempt to kill them. This is outrageous. What's even more outrageous is that PETA reported all of this to Hormel and offered to supply them the video, but Hormel rejected the offer. By rejecting the offer and continuing to pay this supplier they are supporting this behavior. The suppliers managers and supervisors were caught abusing these animals. Hormel has a number of brands some of which are STAGG chili, SPAM, and Valley Fresh.
